FAMILY GATHERING - JULY 2023

We had a family gathering in July 2023 in SD.

Matt and Megan's arrived June 30 thru July 26, Amie and Mark's arrived July 9 thru July 24th.

Attending (11 most of the time):  Bob and Kathie, Mark and Ruth, Lynette, Amie, Mark, Mason, Tyler, Natalya (Natie), Matt, Megan, David, and Abby.  Amie's visited Josh and Dierdra on their way here from CA.  

The weather was very comfortable during most of their stay.  The heat arrived the last few days.

Oven has a digital timer and five controls.  It has an imaginary front door!


Haseltons, Lynette, and Buchanans spent a morning hiking to Buzzard's Roost where they could see our house along the way.


Matt and David got haircuts!

Outdoor Patio Concert at Edgewood Home at 8:30 am - Grandma and the Girls enjoyed the early morning New Horizons Band concert - Grandpa is playing trumpet at 73!  Director - Milo Winter.

The Boys enjoyed reading comic strips from the Rapid City Journal from 2020.


Abby and David completed two weeks of swimming lessons at the Roosevelt Swim Center - so wanted to have ice cream at Armadillo's downtown.

July 22, Toy Workshop


Visited Mt Rushmore in the afternoon of July 22 - also had our traditional picnic at Grizzly Point Picnic Grounds with views of Harney Peak from the cool hiking trail.



Later the girls and I worked on making Necklaces for the Toy Program to put in the heart boxes and jewelry boxes.







Worked in a tv spot on morning of July 22 with Newscenter 1





Abby helping Grandma with breakfast the next day.



Made a visit to Roughlock Falls on Sunday.




The five members (from IN and CA) of the official TEST TEAM for the toy product line of the RCWA spent a ton of hours racing cars on the front porch during July.  Test reports are forth coming.
